MISSION STATEMENT 

  Inspired by a passion for local history and the spirit of the Nyack Indian, a group of concerned citizens has created THE NYACK INDIAN FOUNDATION, INC.  The Foundation is a non profit charitable organization deeply committed to preserving the image, tradition and heritage associated with the Nyack Indians in a way that will benefit the entire community.

  Foundation revenues will primarily be used to fund scholarships for graduating Nyack High School seniors.  In addition, community programs and activities in support of the Nyack Indian tradition will be sponsored.  As a means of preserving the pride and spirit of the Nyack Indian, insignia wear and apparel displaying the Indian head logo are available for a small donation.  A membership directory and alumni dinner dance are planned for the near future.

    Membership fees are tax deductible as the Foundation is an IRS 501 (c) 3 Corporation exempt from federal income tax.

Please join fellow alumni, community members & friends in this effort to save a tradition we all hold dear.  Membership will help make this effort a success.
